This policy explains what personal data Riyasat IAS Mentorship collects when you use this website or submit an enquiry, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

1. Who we are

Riyasat IAS Mentorship (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a UPSC Civil Services coaching and mentorship institute operating from 64, Top Floor, Bada Bazar Marg, Old Rajendra Nagar, Delhi-60. We are the data fiduciary responsible for the personal data described in this policy. This policy covers iasmentorship.com and all of its landing pages.

2. What we collect

a) Information you give us

• Name
• Mobile number
• Course of interest (for example, UPSC Mentorship Programme or GS Foundation Course)

These three fields are all our enquiry forms ask for. We do not ask for your email address, date of birth, address, examination roll number, caste, religion, financial details or any government identity number on these forms. Please do not send us such information unless we specifically ask for it during admission.

b) Information collected automatically

When you visit a page or submit a form, our systems record:

• the page address you were on, and the website or advertisement that referred you;
• campaign tags in the link you clicked (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content) and the Google Ads click identifier (gclid), so we know which advertisement produced your enquiry;
• your IP address and the time of submission — used to block spam and abusive automated submissions;
• standard technical details your browser sends, such as device type and browser version;
• whether you played a video on the page, and how far you scrolled, in aggregate form.

3. Why we use it

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects for you.

4. Your consent

We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you submit an enquiry form. Submitting the form means you agree that we may contact you about the course you enquired about, including by telephone call, SMS and WhatsApp, even if your number is registered on the National Do Not Call registry — because your enquiry creates an existing relationship for that purpose.

You can withdraw consent at any time. Tell the mentor who calls you, or email contactus@iasmentorship.com. Withdrawing consent stops future contact; it does not affect anything lawfully done before you withdrew.

5. Cookies and tracking technologies

This website uses the following. None of them are used to build an advertising profile of you across unrelated websites by us.

• Google Ads conversion tracking (tag ID AW-18402677336) — tells us that an enquiry came from a particular advertisement.
• Enhanced conversions — when you submit an enquiry, a one-way encrypted (hashed) version of your mobile number is sent to Google so it can match your enquiry to the advertisement you clicked. Google cannot read the original number from the hash, and we do not send your name. This helps us measure which advertisements work; it is not used to target you elsewhere. If you would rather we did not do this, email us and we will exclude your enquiry.
• Google Analytics — aggregated statistics on how pages are used.
• Local browser storage — remembers your language preference and that you have already submitted an enquiry, so we do not show you the same form twice.
• Embedded video — videos are served from Zoho WorkDrive and from YouTube in privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie) mode, which does not set advertising cookies unless you play the video.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Blocking them will not stop you from using the site or submitting an enquiry.

6. Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data, and we never rent or trade contact lists. We share the minimum necessary with:

• Zoho (Zoho Forms and Zoho CRM, Zoho Corporation) — stores enquiries so our counselling team can act on them. Data is held on Zoho's India data centres.
• Google (Google Ads, Google Analytics) — receives the fact that a conversion happened and the associated campaign tags. It does not receive your name or mobile number.
• Hostinger — our web hosting provider, which stores the website and its lead database.
• Our own mentors and counselling staff, who are bound to use your details only to respond to your enquiry.

We may also disclose data where we are required to by law, a court order, or a lawful request from a government authority.

7. How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not convert: up to 24 months from your last interaction with us, then deleted.
• Enrolled students: for the duration of the course and up to 3 years afterwards, or longer where tax or accounting law requires it.
• Technical logs: up to 12 months.

If you ask us to erase your data sooner, we will do so unless we are legally required to keep it.

8. Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023

You have the right to:

• Access — ask what personal data of yours we hold and how we have used it;
• Correction — have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected or updated;
• Erasure — ask us to delete your data where it is no longer needed;
• Withdraw consent — at any time, as easily as you gave it;
• Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with us and receive a response;
• Nominate — nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.

To exercise any of these, email contactus@iasmentorship.com from the contact details you gave us, or call the numbers below. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

9. How we protect your data

Enquiries are transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection and stored on access-controlled systems. Our forms carry spam protection and submission rate limits. Access to lead data is restricted to staff who need it to contact you. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your personal data we will notify you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.

10. Children

Our courses are intended for candidates eligible for the UPSC Civil Services Examination, who are 21 years or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data of anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, write to us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how we use your data will be communicated to you where we hold your contact details.
